Leverage Heterogeneous Data Transformation and Distribution to Create New Business Opportunities
Paul HolensteinReal-time data replication products, such as HPE Shadowbase software, are well known for their ability to facilitate IT service availability (Business Continuity) by replicating production data in real-time across multiple systems to create backup database copies. Should one system fail, current, consistent data is available on alternate systems which can take over processing, thereby maintaining service availability. But such products also provide another significant capability: a heterogeneous Data Distribution Fabric Backbone (DDFB), which facilitates data integration.
NuWave Customer Success Story – How RedLink is using LightWave Solutions to integrate and modernize
Gustavo MartinezRed Link is the biggest transactional switch in Argentina, processing transactions from ATMs and digital wallets. Red Link is owned by a group of public and private banks that service most of Argentina’s population. Red Link processes more than 47 million transactions per day during their peak time of year. They are interconnected with 60 financial institutions and have more than 1,000 employees, with a large team focused on the HPE NonStop, as it is the primary system used for their transactions.
Greenlake & NonStop
Justin SimondsGreenlake is a major HPE strategy. You may have seen the announcement “The cloud that comes to you”, which is essentially Greenlake. Imagine Amazon, Google or Microsoft coming into your data center and building you a mini cloud that they then manage for you. You spin up applications and databases, try new business strategies, run sprints and have all the advantages of the public cloud.

Infrastructure Decision Making – Five Key Principles For Success
Brian MillerGlobal growth and opening up of economies will help the payments sector thrive again post-pandemic, but it’s only those with the right infrastructure in place who will be able to seize these opportunities. It’s become a cliche, but the pandemic has accelerated a decade’s worth of change into just a few short years.
Data is the Lifeblood of your Organization
Thomas GloerfeldData is pretty crucial to any business these days. Many people claim that data is the most important asset you can possess, with more utility than capital assets and more meaningful (though often latent) insights than a host of human capital. Data reflects your entire business: your intellectual property, your industry, the broader market trends, the pain points and needs of prospective customers, and your existing customer base.
Biggest Lie in the World (and Kevin’s Famous Chili Recipe)
Beth ZiesenisHe spilled the whole batch in the lobby, and no one got a bite. But that doesn’t mean his famous recipe is gone forever. A clever TikTok-er revealed that Peacock TV’s terms and conditions includes Kevin’s chili recipe buried in the tiny print as a reward for the very, very small percentage of subscribers who read the details.

The Many Roads to Data Protection
Thomas GloerfeldGetting from point A to point B in a car always seems to be a pretty easy proposition, at least until you’re behind the wheel and moving. On a map, look for the largest road(s) with the greatest bandwidth capacity, which in the US usually means a highway or interstate, and just take that route. If one road meeting this criteria doesn’t exist, then cobble together a series of them following this general pattern (biggest roads with the most capacity), and you’re still good, right?

XYPRO Cybersecurity Predictions for 2022
Steve TcherchianWell, we made it. 2021 is finally in the books. The gift of LOG4J and the onslaught of vendor emails made for an eventful end to 2021. Take a minute (and I only mean a minute) to catch your breath before we jump headfirst into 2022. It’s time to look forward to what the cybersecurity landscape will give us this year.

In Memory of Janice Reeder-Highleyman
Gravic, Inc.Janice Reeder-Highleyman, 69, passed away on January 2, 2022 due to a long illness. She was intensely private and never wanted to talk much about herself. Most of us in the Connect Community had no idea that she was bravely battling Stage IV ovarian cancer. And, she didn’t want much of a fuss made after her passing.
