News from HPE’s NonStop Division

Roland Lemoine

Back in June, a few of us were able to enjoy again the value of a face-to-face event at HPE Discover 2022. It was a good opportunity to find out what we are offering under the HPE GreenLake umbrella and knowing so, start to reflect on what’s in it for us in the NonStop community.

Cool technology! When did we last hear about that? Well, the world is changing. Customers are looking for “solutions,” use them and “pay by the drink.” “It doesn’t matter what’s underneath” is the oft-repeated phrase or so it seems. Well, really?

The year is coming to a close and that means it is time for our “Best of NonStop” issue. It is jam-packed with great content (as are all of our issues!) that should help you do your job better as you learn about new happenings in the HPE world.

With fingers crossed it looks like most of the world is digging out from the pandemic and beginning to contemplate life in a post-covid world. Things will probably never go back to the way they were before but one of the constant in this world is that you either evolve or die. We at Connect choice to evolve (as I hope you do too) and have been busy at work on the NonStop Bootcamp which will be a great show this year. We have an amazing new venue in Denver in a great part of town to ensure that there is plenty to see and do.

As we near the end of the year, it’s clear that 2020 will live in infamy for many years to come.  Between the COVID-19 pandemic, with a devastating loss of life now reaching 200,000 people in the United States, to terrifying weather such as lightning strike storms, temperatures reaching 130 degrees in Death Valley, massive forest fires in the West, hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico, floods in the South and even a fire tornado being sighted in Northern California, we often feel like we’re living in a horror or disaster movie.

A Note From Connect Leadership

August 2020, where to even start…  As I write this note to our community, things in the US are still uncertain vis-à-vis Covid-19, but I know as a community, we will continue to thrive and do great things! HPE had a virtual Discover event that was pretty well received, things are still in the planning stage for the NonStop Bootcamp, and I am sure we will have a great event no matter what format it will be. We have also had a few great NonStop virtual events, so things are continuing, abet in different formats.
