A Note from Connect Leadership

Greetings fellow Connect members,

Fall is in the air and folks are dreaming about pumpkin-spiced everything while moving their sweaters to the front of their closet (or in Australia, putting them away). The 2022 NonStop Technical Boot Camp is right around the corner and this year’s event, back in person, is shaping up to be one of the best we have ever had! If you haven’t already signed up for it, you should do so as soon as possible at www.NonStopTBC.com.

The team at HPE’s NonStop Division is busy confirming some great content at TBC, including this just-released list of Developer Chats. Developer Chats are a great way for HPE Customers to meet and speak with engineers who build and support HPE NonStop solutions. They are free to attend for registered attendees and focus on important topics for your business.  Here is a glimpse of the developer chats that we are planning for, and there will be more to add:

  • HPE Virtualized NonStop
  • NonStop Database
  • Manageability Solutions: OSM and NSC
  • NonStop OS, Measure, NonStop Dynamic Capacity (NSDC)

We are also excited to announce our redesigned NonStop Design Challenge at this year’s TBC! This is a completely new competition format that is exciting, FREE, and FOR EVERYONE – not just developers or programmers.  Participants will get an opportunity to solve a real-world, NonStop application/solution modernization problem. You will be working in teams and will present your solution at the end of the challenge. More details on rules and “how-to’s” will be unveiled at the event. Register today to learn how to participate.

Like the NonStop Technical Boot Camp, this issue is packed with great content. You will not want to miss the article about NSFTI (NonStop Fault Tolerant Interface) which in a few minutes explains what it is and why you would want to use it. There is a great article from the XYPRO  folks about SQL and how to use their products to secure it properly.

As always you can join the conversations in our Slack workspace.

Best regards,
Marty Edelman
