MATUG and NYTUG 2024 Recap

MATUG and NEXTUG 2024

HPE hosted the MATUG meeting on May 14 in their offices in the Reston Town Center, Virginia. The day began and ended with two interesting HPE presentations: John Vollers (Solution Architect) presented HPE Strategy and NonStop Roadmap, and John Zimsky (Master Engineer) presented Deploying REST Applications to NonStop.

Paul Holenstein (Gravic Chief Technologist) presented HPE Shadowbase Solutions: Maximize NonStop Digital Resilience with Data Replication, Integration, and ValidationSeven other informative vendor presentations were given. At both MATUG and NYTUG, Paul Holenstein (Gravic Chief Technologist) presented HPE Shadowbase Solutions: Maximize NonStop Digital Resilience with Data Replication, Integration, and Validation.

Although we had a nice crowd, we are anxious to get the “next generation” involved in these events. We especially would like to engage the user/customer community to help run both MATUG and NYTUG. Please reach out to Connect if you are interested.

It was a meaningful event, with a lot of camaraderie and networking, and we are hopeful to see more customers attend next year.

The NYTUG event was held at the HPE offices in Berkeley Heights, NJ on May 16 and was a resounding success, with 15 customers attending! The feedback from partners and customers alike was positive.

NYTUG 2024

It was great to reconnect with customers who we had not seen in some time. Some had moved to different companies, but are still involved with the NonStop platform and were likewise happy to network with friends and partners from the past. We are excited that several customers volunteered to become active in the NYTUG board and help organize future events.

The presentations focused mainly on the current industry topics of Digital Resilience, Data Security and Data Compliance. Throughout the presentations everyone was very engaged, and all the customers expressed interest in the topics with ongoing discussions and questions.

Everyone enjoyed socializing during the various breaks. In addition, we adjourned to a local restaurant and bar, where attendees continued discussing the event, covered topics, and past experiences.

Thank you to all who made these annual events meaningful and a definite success! With additional volunteers we can look forward to future events of equal or greater success.
