You are Responsible for Data Security in the Cloud
Thomas GloerfeldCloud computing is the fuel powering modern digital transformation. Across the globe, organizations invested heavily during the pandemic to adapt to new market conditions, drive more efficient business processes and support mass home working. It’s estimated that 60% of corporate data globally is now stored in the cloud, and much of this will be in public cloud data centres.
Virtual NonStop when you need one.
Margo HolenDo you remember early 1980s? Or perhaps, just like our young server last night, you were not even born yet back then? So last night as we entered the restaurant we noticed a priest sitting at a table with a young family, parents and a couple of kids ages about 5. Richard Buckle ordered a bottle of Penfolds 389, as he does whenever we are at the Fort Collins, CO, Rare restaurant on Sunday – no it is not a religious ceremony, the priest’s presence totally accidental, it’s just that on Sundays they have wines half off!
uLinga for Kafka – High Performance, Fault-Tolerant Kafka Streaming
Andrew PriceIn the Sept-Oct 2021 edition of The Connection, we gave an overview of Kafka, and how it is being used by many Fortune 500 companies to manage “streams” of data, which have become prevalent as internet usage massively boosts the amount of data being generated, and requiring processing. Kafka allows these huge volumes of data to be processed in real-time, via a combination of “producers” and “consumers”, which work with a Kafka “cluster” – the main data repository.
XYPRO Presents Zero-Trust Security, Enterprise Integration, at HPE India’s BCD
Steve TcherchianThe probability that an organization will experience a breach in the next 24 months is high and the current time to identify and contain a breach is still 280 days. XYPRO security solutions reduce the meantime to detect, and the resources required to respond to potential breaches by up to 80%, dramatically reducing the impact of a breach on your enterprise.
Seven Magnificent Features All Integrity Monitors Should Have
Daniel LewisWinston Churchill once said “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often”. While that might have been a smart way to justify his changing of political party allegiance (and true when it comes to passwords!), it obviously doesn’t sit quite so well when it comes to critical files and configurations on your HPE NonStop!

Karen CopelandFor anyone who has ever ventured into the surf rolling onto a beach, the presence of waves as they fade on the sand is obvious. They just come at you one wave after the other, or so it seems. But avid surfers know that these waves typically come ashore in sets with the first wave foreshadowing much more impressive waves yet to come.

Company Announcements: HPE
Hewlett Packard EnterpriseBRUSSELS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Mar. 22, 2022– Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NYSE: HPE) today announced that Worldline, a European-based global payments provider, has selected the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to implement a major performance upgrade to its mission-critical payments platform to meet the accelerated growth of online transactions. Leverage Heterogeneous Data Transformation and Distribution to Create New Business Opportunities
Paul HolensteinReal-time data replication products, such as HPE Shadowbase software, are well known for their ability to facilitate IT service availability (Business Continuity) by replicating production data in real-time across multiple systems to create backup database copies. Should one system fail, current, consistent data is available on alternate systems which can take over processing, thereby maintaining service availability. But such products also provide another significant capability: a heterogeneous Data Distribution Fabric Backbone (DDFB), which facilitates data integration.
NuWave Customer Success Story – How RedLink is using LightWave Solutions to integrate and modernize
Gustavo MartinezRed Link is the biggest transactional switch in Argentina, processing transactions from ATMs and digital wallets. Greenlake & NonStop
Justin SimondsGreenlake is a major HPE strategy. You may have seen the announcement “The cloud that comes to you”, which is essentially Greenlake. Imagine Amazon, Google or Microsoft coming into your data center and building you a mini cloud that they then manage for you. You spin up applications and databases, try new business strategies, run sprints and have all the advantages of the public cloud.

Infrastructure Decision Making – Five Key Principles For Success
Brian MillerGlobal growth and opening up of economies will help the payments sector thrive again post-pandemic, but it’s only those with the right infrastructure in place who will be able to seize these opportunities. It’s become a cliche, but the pandemic has accelerated a decade’s worth of change into just a few short years.

The Many Roads to Data Protection
Thomas GloerfeldGetting from point A to point B in a car always seems to be a pretty easy proposition, at least until you’re behind the wheel and moving. On a map, look for the largest road(s) with the greatest bandwidth capacity, which in the US usually means a highway or interstate, and just take that route. If one road meeting this criteria doesn’t exist, then cobble together a series of them following this general pattern (biggest roads with the most capacity), and you’re still good, right?
