Justin SimondsThe Flipside
Gaye ClemsonMy recent change consulting work has taken me to the mergers and acquisitions world. Now I don’t know about you, but I can’t imagine a greater transformational change for team leaders than getting acquired by an industry giant. Not only is there culture and strategy change, but also a myriad of systems, tools and processes that either need to be learned or integrated.
The Flip Side
Gaye ClemsonIn early December 2020, I had an opportunity to sit in on a virtual fireside chat with Scott Dorsey, former Founder and CEO of ExactTarget at the 2020 Instill Culture Conference. ExactTarget is a provider of digital marketing automation and analytics software that was acquired by Salesforce.com in 2013. As mentioned in a previous LinkedIn article, this conference brought together a community of forward-thinkers from sports, the military, business, academia, and the venture capital worlds to brainstorm how to build positive organizational cultures.
NonStop Pride in the Great State of Texas
Diane FunkhouserThe maximum speed limit in Texas is 85 mph. Maybe not everything moves fast in Texas, but cars and trucks certainly do. Perhaps it is just due to the geography. There is a lot of area to cover in the vast state of Texas. It is the largest state in the Continental US, although Alaska is 2.2 times larger by area, and Texas is second to California by population. The GDP of Texas is $1.6 trillion, comparable to Russia, South Korea, Tokyo or New York City.
