Happy New Year to all our customers and partners!
With a new year upon us, it’s a great opportunity to look back and reflect on where we’ve been, the successes we’ve had, the lessons we’ve learned, the new friends we’ve made, the relationships we’ve strengthened.
The NonStop business had a strong 2019 and now we’re back working on a new year, full of promise, new adventures, technologies and, yes, some exciting surprises! NonStop is very much alive and growing, both technologically and from a revenue perspective. Stay tuned; exciting things to come.
Our CEO and president, Antonio Neri, has made our corporate strategy clear – “HPE IS THE EDGE-TO-CLOUD PLATFORM-AS-SERVICE COMPANY”. The way to this vision is by bringing our (HPE) culture to life – a culture that has been the hallmark of Tandem since the early days and throughout its colourful and successful history, all the way to the present as HPE NonStop. The future is bright because of this vision and the strong relationships we continue to have with our partners, peers and especially our loyal customers – relationships that span decades.
User groups have played an important role throughout NonStop’s history, starting back in the Tandem days. I remember reading a The Connection Magazine article years ago where Jimmy Treybig remarked that Tandem would not have been successful if it hadn’t been for customers holding our feet to the fire and making us accountable. NonStop user groups continue to perform that function, but also keep us all connected as a very close community of customers, partners, and HPE employees. NonStop is truly a family that literally stretches back generations – over four decades!
This issue focuses on the many HPE NonStop individuals that support customers in the Tampa Bay area and the executive board of SunTUG. Joe Androlowicz has written an entertaining and informative article that gives colour to some of these individuals. There are interviews and anecdotal stories of individuals local to the Tampa Bay area, but they are not the whole story. There are many individuals that support our local customers.
NonStop Product Management, Advanced Technology Center and Development continue to build and strengthen our product portfolios and provide updates in the delivery plans for this year. NonStop Division continues to provide support for NonStop events happening all around the world again this year. From SunTUG coming up in March to GTUG in Berlin in May, to HPE DISCOVER in Las Vegas in June, and several user group meetings throughout the US and LATAM. Check the Connect website for updated information on these chapter events.
