Greetings HPE Community Members!
As many of us focus on celebrations over the next few months, with Thanksgiving next week and Christmas, I thought reflecting over the year would also be good.
I just wanted to say thanks for allowing me to be your President this year. It has been a pleasure and very rewarding. It’s been great to work more closely with the amazing Connect team, HPE, and the other BOD members and see the outcome of everyone’s hard work.
It’s been an emotional year for me and one that I won’t forget easily, but it’s also made me realise that you must live life to the fullest whenever possible. I am off to Nepal in a week to see a school rebuilt with money my husband and a cycling group raised in 2021 after it was devastated in the 2018 earthquakes – which I am sure will be a very humbling experience.
I hope you have the opportunity to spend some quality time with your families during the celebrations and give thanks for the life we have when many others around the world are living in terror and war zones.
