As summer sets in and days get brighter
Hope you and your family are staying safe and healthy!
As the world slowly comes out of the shadow of perhaps the most challenging period in the recent human history, the days are finally getting longer than the nights and people perhaps are beginning to value being able to move around more than anything else. We are in the midst of one of the largest vaccination drives the planet has ever seen, brought together through a collaborative effort spanning geographic, political and emotional boundaries, enabled by technological advancements such as supercomputing. All these have led to the launch of multiple vaccines within an unbelievable time and HPE is proud to be a part of this successful project, in line with its corporate philosophy of being a force for good.
Closer to home, NonStop has seen a good first half of 2021 and we’re moving into the second half with renewed vigor. While a large part of our workforce is working from home, we continue to support our customers, deliver product releases, and attend to escalations as effectively as ever. A special shout out to the HPE India team who have been working shoulder to shoulder to deliver on their commitments while going through a devastating 2nd wave Covid of severe magnitude, balancing their health and family commitments along the way. On the brighter side, we anticipate HPE offices in several parts of the world slowly opening for its staff to come back and start working in the “office atmosphere”. Hope to see the world coming back to normal and we, at NonStop, surely look forward to those face to face meetings and conferences. German Tandem User Group completed their two day online event on April 27th and 28th. Some excellent topics were presented and if you missed, you may access them at GTUG website.
Yours truly had the pleasure of presenting on the topic of “vNS – what you should know if you’re considering it” and it was great to see such enthusiastic participation.
It has been 3 years since the launch of HPE Virtualized NonStop on VMware. We have a number of customers who have acquired it and some have moved to production with it. This edition of The Connection magazine has some articles on them, as well as an article from me summarizing what we’ve learnt and how future customers can apply these learnings.
Hope you enjoyed reading this edition and further enrich yourself, learning from the experience of the vast community of NonStop practitioners. Keep those feedback coming which will only help us evolve this publication for the benefit for all our readers.
Hope to see the good old days back again and we get to be among the NonStop ecosystem very soon! Until then, take good care!
