I wrote in these lines back in January that 2025 would not disappoint for HPE Nonstop and I feel we’re already leading by 3 to 0 at half time! So much activity is happening on Nonstop, I’ll start by touching upon this year’s HPE Discover event. HPE Discover is the primary worldwide event for HPE to showcase its latest technology. It just happened in June, welcoming 12,000 attendees, customers and partners at the Venetian conference center in Las Vegas. As you can expect there is a wide coverage of the whole HPE portfolio, with highlights of the latest products and HPE strategy for the enterprise IT. Doubling down and expanding on its AI direction introduced in 2024, HPE unveiled new products and solutions that either leverage AI, such as GreenLake Intelligence and its agentic AI framework (Think of agentic AI as a framework of AI agents collaborating together) to simplify IT management, or that enable customers to deploy AI capabilities in their enterprise such as AI factory offerings. For this audience however, I suspect what’s relevant for our fault tolerant platform may be of greater interest, and there too, Nonstop did not disappoint.
It started with our solution being highlighted in Antonio Neri’s keynote (around 44:30) at Sphere, where our HPE CEO highlights how Nonstop is the one HPE platform for mission critical applications, and its latest increment introducing double memory and bandwidth for greater performance. That’s a good start!
Nonstop [1 – 0] Competition
We were also present on the show floor in 2 different areas: the “AI neighborhood” and “Hybrid cloud neighborhood”. In both cases, we demonstrated great use cases of AI technology associated with Nonstop. In one demo we showcased how, by joining forces between HPE Nonstop and our partner Striim, we are providing a solution to improve fraud detection using AI to automatically detect, in real-time, sensitive data as it flows. Thanks to our partner Striim for joining and helping us support this event. You can find out more about this solution in this very edition of the Connection magazine (you can also click here). In a second demo, in collaboration with our partner abat, we highlighted how AI technology is used for car manufacturing product line sequencing, as part of the Smart Manufacturing solution that runs on HPE Nonstop. The X factor for the demo was certainly the robots playing soccer, check this video! Those robots are AI controlled, and this same technology is used by Mercedes to build cars with the abat solution built on Nonstop! Kudos to the abat team and to HPE Nonstop’s Vanessa Kaup for putting this amazing demo together.
Nonstop [2 – 0] Competition
Throughout the show, Casey Taylor, our HPE Nonstop VP&GM, was the voice of Nonstop at multiple events such as the Nonstop café for interviews with the press, meeting with partners and customers, as there was a lot of interest all rooted in the announcement of the new generation NS9 and NS5 platforms for which we had a well-crafted demo as well. It felt really good to have new and modern technology to showcase as shown in this promo video and to be part of the exciting news that HPE had to offer. All in all, I believe HPE Nonstop received its best coverage ever at this event.
Nonstop [3 – 0] Competition
So, the year is not yet over, we’re at half-time, and we know there is a lot more happening in the next 6 months. I hope we can meet and discuss all the exciting news, face-to-face, at our next Nonstop TBC in September. In the meantime, you may read great articles in this edition, so we have a plan for the second half of the game and win this year’s world cup of systems that never go down!
Enjoy!
