For NTI, looking back has always been an option but what lies ahead is more important!

For anyone who has sailed across a sea, looking astern at the wake is always a reminder of where they have been. Whether it has been smooth sailing or not, there are always the ripples thrown up by the wake that further define the path taken. New lands, new people, new experiences. It is always with mixed feelings the further out from shore we sail. As we track the days, moving headlong into 2026 what transpired in 2025, as has happened with each passing year, is a moment to cast our eyes astern and to reflect on all that transpired.

For the Nonstop community, we once again bore witness to the inroads the latest Nonstop Compute product lines were making into the Nonstop customer base. The latest edition to the product family of Nonstop Compute converged systems, the Nonstop NS9 X5 and the Nonstop NS5 X5, has been well received with enterprises across all major regions taking delivery of these latest iterations of an X86-architected system. Product introductions always take center stage and, in this case, it brought a level of consistency to a global market segment that looks for what is new from HPE Nonstop Compute.

For NTI, such new product introductions are always welcomed. The tech refreshes such an upgrade requires always fall on the ears of a receptive audience. While Nonstop TBC 2025 was the forum where NTI introduced its new tag line, “We move the data that moves your business,” it was just as appropriate a venue to promote our M&Ms strategy. More than just a reference to a chocolate treat but an acknowledgement that with the introduction of its latest company tag line, “We move the data that moves your business,” much of what was covered in presentation given in 2025 included words starting with the letter M. For NTI, it’s all about Movement, Modernization, Migration and the benefits that come with deploying DRNet®/Unified at the center of your data movement strategy. New product introductions are always well received but along with products, introductions to the new members of the NTI 2% Club, now having piloted and then moved into production, several key new products.

No, not a chocolate treat give-away but rather, a strategy very much tied to Migrations and Modernization. As a community Nonstop may find chocolate an attractive option, but more realistically, finding a vendor focused on the business needs of the day holds a lot more attraction.

A well-architected replication solution, based on Change Data Capture (CDC) is at the heart of DRNet®/Unified that in turn is at the heart of NTI’s business continuity solution. It was NTI who helped pioneer active-active deployment of Disaster / Recovery (D/R) for Nonstop customers just as it was NTI who lessened the requirement for TMF protection as it supports TMF and Non-TMF deployments – a priority for current Nonstop customers relying on BASE24 and BASE24-eps where the presence of TMF protection is never an assumption that can be made. But with DRNet®/Unified, Nonstop customers can proceed with migrations safe in the knowledge that any such perceived migration risks can be mitigated with the knowledge that there have been other Nonstop customers who have gone and continue to go down this path.

Taking Nonstop customers from home-grown solutions as well as from RDF, to the NTI flagship product suite, DRNet®/Unified, our practice has been further strengthened with the migration away from GoldenGate to DRNet®/Unified with the availability of DRNet®/Unified for GoldenGate Customers. It is at venues like Nonstop TBC 2025 that the Nonstop community hears about such successes and it’s become quickly apparent to NTI management that these Nonstop customers engaged in due diligence over which D/R solution best meets their needs and that maintaining a strong vendor presence attracts a wider audience.

More good news coming out of Nonstop TBC 2025: With DRNet®/Kafka powered by uLinga for Kafka, NTI has executed the first product license for uLinga for Kafka, delivering TLF and PTLF data from BASE24 to an EMEA financial institution’s customers using mobile banking apps where there is already a Kafka broker present. “Streaming TLF and PTLF data to Kafka involved taking advantage of the powerful data transformation capabilities within uLinga Kafka, delivering the data into Kafka either in JSON or Avro according to the customer’s needs,” said Infrasoft’s Andrew Price, Director, Business Operations. Having a real-world Nonstop customer to talk about at the recent Nonstop TBC 2025 was certainly a highlight of the event but there was even more news from NTI.

“DRNet®/Kafka powered by uLinga for Kafka supports a wide range
of access points to enable Nonstop users to leverage the resultant,
powerful, data streaming platform.

“What is provided included IPC, Pathsend, HTTP/REST together with
a number of file-oriented approaches.”

NTI has also generated new business for DRNet®/Gateway, powered by uLinga, a premier application integration and modernization technology, again, powered by uLinga. While it might be described as a Swiss Army Knife or even a modern-day equivalent of the Rosetta Stone, DRNet®/Gateway bridges legacy and modern systems (as the Nonstop community bears witness to), in ways few other Nonstop vendors can provide. This first Nonstop customer of DRNet® /Gateway, an AP/J financial institution, uses the product to provide TLS protection of TCP/IP connections to Visa, without any necessity to change the application. Looking further ahead, this solution and the transparency afforded already-deployed applications, is a welcome relief to what otherwise is a very difficult requirement to be addressed when solutions vendors delay or even stall further development of their solution for Nonstop Compute.

The ripples thrown up by the wake of a passing vessel at sea is a reminder too that in any given year, Nonstop customers will see the occasional ripple appearing from beneath the surface. With NTI and given the experience and product portfolio now being showcased at major Nonstop conferences, it comes as a welcome relief to being informed that every Nonstop customer has options. Yes, NTI moves the data that moves your business and yes, HPE Nonstop Compute pushed the boundaries of modernization even as it affords a migration path forward (replacing legacy offerings), looking back can only take you so far. For NTI it is all about what lies ahead as there will be more good news coming in the month ahead. As the world turns to networks of adjacent servers addressing everything from immutable storage to security to analytics processing and AI, isn’t it good to know, NTI has moved right along with you.

Perhaps it is now the time to pencil in the dates of April 14 to 16, 2026 to meet with the NTI team at the upcoming eGTUG – European Nonstop Symposium 2026 will take place from April 14 to 16.
