Greetings, HPE Community Members!
I cannot believe we are now in July; we have had the longest day of sunshine in the year (Summer Solstice), and many of you have taken the opportunity for a long weekend for the 4th of July celebrations.
When I looked back at my newsletter for 2023, we had just been impacted by the Progrss MoveIT vulnerability, and everyone was looking at their downstream third-party vendors who had been affected.
We have just experienced one of the largest IT Outages globally, as a CrowdStrike patch to their Falcon Sensor brought systems down. It was very interesting seeing it all play out, especially for those of you who have operations in the EU, as this just quantified the need for DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act), which comes into force in January 2025.
I hope you all thoroughly enjoyed your visit to HPE Discover this year and were able to attend a Connect Tech Forum. Our service dogs from Michael’s Angel Paws were again a big hit with attendees.
Work continues now on the NonStopTBC—TBC by the Sea 2024 50th celebrations. Please remember to register, as this will undoubtedly be the celebration of the year!
