In business, what makes technical companies successful, is their ability to understand directions, goals and the necessity for discipline and teamwork. In confidence the managers will tell you that their company is a source of joy in that their success has come about because of the company’s understanding of what its employees can do, and how well they can perform given tasks. Perhaps most important of all, it comes down to leadership ensuring there is clarity behind every decision taken.
When we interact with the Nonstop community, it is our belief that accumulating knowledge of best practices, as we do, TCM becomes your best source for information as to the direction to be taken and what will be your ultimate goal. How best to ensure that the application that they support on a Nonstop system helps their customers (while attracting new ones), is a familiar line for the TCM team. Discipline and teamwork are today the hallmark of TCM and influence the manner by which observations and recommendations are communicated with Nonstop customers.
For as long as TCM has provided managed services, the story is the same: “I have always done it this way!” But in a world that is hybrid, cloud-centric and increasingly accommodating of AI, maintaining the status quo will no longer be sufficient to ensure Nonstop fulfills its mission in support of client’s customers. The popular options vary, with many Nonstop customers turning to the Nonstop team for guidance and yet, options will narrow considerably when it becomes the goal of business leaders to have fresh data created on Nonstop accessible by AI. “Are their baby-steps that can be taken to meet such goals without destroying the integrity of our operational Nonstop system?”
This level of conversation, and the questions that arise, is commonplace today as HPE Nonstop delivers updated Nonstop systems. Amid tectonic shifts in the manner whereby data, created on Nonstop, is delivered to adjacent servers (as Nonstop leadership advocates), the question remains, “is there a better way?” This we see as becoming central to the responses and indeed guidance that follows from TCM.
The question of how best to get started with AI is guaranteed to be a topic covered by many of the presenting sessions at the upcoming Nonstop Technology and Business Conference, 2026 (Nonstop TBC 2026). TCM supported Nonstop TBC 2026 as a Platinum Sponsor. You may have attended a session by Daniel Craig, TCM Managing Director, as he gave his Nonstop TBC 2026 Lightning Session presentation. Daniel had titled his session, “Bring Us Your Ambitions.” Attendees heard how, “every organization has goals it wants to achieve but also challenges that stand in the way.” Daniel explained how, from TCM’s viewpoint, “TCM has been helping customers transform ambitious objectives into successful outcomes through innovation, experience and a proven approach to delivery.”
In the leadup to this conference, Daniel Craig addressed the New to Nonstop community where he placed considerable emphasis on how Nonstop technology matters, but only when the people supporting Nonstop make the presence of Nonstop continue long into the future. “It has lasted because people continue to care about it,” he said. “This Nonstop community is an example community,” and by that, Daniel noted how everyone is watchful of those members of the Nonstop community who lead by example.
“AI may be new to you. But not knowing AI can be uncomfortable (for the New to Nonstop community), even as early AI awareness can be very useful; new people ask questions experts may no longer think to ask.” Becoming productively informed, as the tectonic plates shift even further and faster, may be all that is required to ensure Nonstop does AI well and maintains a presence within the business for many more years to come. Your leadership in this matter, as it does for all members of the Nonstop community, may be the edge your business needs.
Historically, major Nonstop conferences become the venue where conversation about how to do anything better typically see the light of day. It’s not uncommon to see such conversation go long into the night as the mix of participants varies, but even so, noted Daniel as covered in his presentation to the New to Nonstop community, when it comes to Nonstop and the impending arrival of AI, “the best solutions usually start with listening.”
Imagine, for a moment, a future where Nonstop team members can interact directly with AI. Conversations can go down a different path when interacting with any of the AI Clients available today. However, before responses sway decision-makers, it’s important to know that no matter the questions, the likelihood that a TCM team member has already considered this response, and others that were similar, and has extracted possible answers from across the Nonstop community, is highly likely. Ultimately, it will come down to the path our Nonstop customers elect to follow.
If you missed hearing Daniel Craig’s New to Nonstop Rotary Session, where he addresses TCM moving away from being just a services company to a true consultancy that helps Nonstop customers move from where they are today to where they want to be, it was recorded. You can now listen to Daniel providing his perspective on how he values all that the Nonstop community represents. You can tune into the YouTube channel for a replay of his Ted-style talk, Born into Nonstop.
And if you would like to know where next you can expect to see TCM participation in a Regional User Group (RUG) event then look no further than to INNIG when we convene for this event on November 6, 2026.
As always, whether it’s about hybrid IT, AI, or anything else that arose from conversations at Nonstop TBC 2026 that are continuing within your business and you welcome further opportunities to discuss with the TCM team, you can always pick up from where you left off by contacting the TCM team directly at –
