News from HPE’s Nonstop Division

The rise of the Agentic Enterprise was the leading theme for HPE Discover this year as agentic AI is making its way in every domain of the IT industry, from the network infrastructure to all layers of the software stack.  Autonomous networks, sovereign clouds, GreenLake intelligence, Supercomputing, and Nonstop, are all adapting to the new enterprise paradigm where agents are amplifying users’ productivity at an unprecedented speed.

Nonstop? Yes, indeed as introduced by Antonio Neri in its keynote “HPE Nonstop: Mission Critical, Now Agentic” but more importantly and boldly demonstrated at the HPE Nonstop booth, featuring a live demo co-designed by HPE Nonstop, HPE Labs and Lusis Payments.

In the demo, a user is interacting with an AI agent which will not only find the requested item in a list of available merchants but then proceed to automate the payment, removing friction and making the purchase experience even smoother for the buyer. Of course, such automation requires strong guardrails, easily enabled by leveraging the Lusis commerce API which applies AI mandates that set boundaries on the transaction such as a limited dollar amount for example. Visitors could effectively see how Nonstop transactions can be operated in agentic AI fashion, right before noticing the real NS9 system located on the booth and before moving on HPC/AI supercomputer and a Quantum computing chandelier seating next to us. Nonstop, the most reliable computer in the world was in good company, next to the fastest in the world and the most advanced technology in the world.

Moving on to Nonstop TBC

But Discover is now behind us, and it is now time to look to our flagship Nonstop event “Nonstop TBC 2026” which brings Nonstop customers, partners and HPE Nonstop together to further deep dive into what’s relevant to our customers. This year we expect to cover those themes such as:

• AI-Driven Transformation in a Nonstop Ecosystem
• Cybersecurity & Digital Resilience
• Customer Experience & Competitive Reinvention

We continue to expand from what was originally mostly technical content to also include business focused contents. This will materialize with a business track showing how reliability or security can translate to competitive edge while at the same time prevent unwanted costly outages. Expect Nonstop TBC to continue and expand on the conversation started at HPE Discover on agentic AI and provide great pointers on where AI can be most effective for your Nonstop platform. And be prepared for great guidance on security, compliance and governance which are now pillars of our increasingly regulated industry.
