HPE Nonstop

Artificial Intelligence is often discussed in extremes: either as a revolutionary force that will replace software engineers or as an overhyped technology with little practical value in serious enterprise environments. For HPE Nonstop systems, neither position is useful.

In recent months, TANDsoft has achieved some significant results, including delivering a new release to the company’s flagship solution, netting new customer wins, and making breakthrough performance gains.

Read on to learn more about the solution, the latest enhancements, and recent customer successes.

As AI workloads, large-scale simulations, and high-performance computing (HPC) continue to evolve, the demand for efficient GPU utilization has skyrocketed. While powerful hardware is essential, software optimization methods often determine how effectively that hardware performs.

Protecting Data Everywhere

Data is one of the most valuable assets in any organization, and its protection goes far beyond defending against external threats. While encryption is often the first line of defense, Shadowbase solutions extend that protection across the entire data replication process.

The conversation about AI in enterprise environments has matured past the “should we?” phase. The harder question now is how – and in mission-critical environments like HPE Nonstop, how you answer that question matters enormously.

When it comes to radical change that alters the course of history, it was left to Scottish inventor, James Watt, to turn an idea into something more practical, a device that would significantly alter the path of history. While the invention of the steam train was still in its infancy, struggling to attract universal acceptance (as a mode of transportation), it was

It was many, many, years ago when working for Tandem Computers that I joined an initiative called Nonstop Availability, or NSA as it was better known. As a participant in a small team headed by Dr Tim Chou, we worked through a number of scenarios where availability may be affected. When conclusions were reached, some of us joined Tim on a global roadshow focused on providing insights to then-current Nonstop customers.

It was great to return to SunTUG in Tampa. John Vollers provided the HPE Nonstop roadmap and direction presentation which was very well received. The accommodations at the Aloft Hotel were very good and the view from the conference room was outstanding. From my standpoint it was good to catch up with customers and partners and my impression was that this was a valuable event in terms of both networking and information exchange.

As AI moves from research curiosity to enterprise imperative, HPE Nonstop users face a critical challenge: how to integrate with AI without compromising system integrity. This article explores how the new Model Context Protocol (MCP) and Infrasoft’s uLinga Nexus are bridging this gap, providing a secure, standards-based gateway that allows AI agents to interact with mission-critical systems in real-time.

In the Nonstop world, we’ve always taken pride in systems that run reliably for decades. The architecture is fault-tolerant, the performance is scalable, and the reliability is peerless. But over time, something important happens: the code stays visible, while the business rules that drive behavior become harder to see. Every enhancement, regulatory change, exception path, and operational adjustment adds another layer of logic. Over many years, the true behavior of the system becomes embedded deep inside source code rather than in written specifications.

RIVERSIDE, Calif., Feb. 19, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — XYPRO, a PartnerOne company and market leader of security and compliance solutions for mission-critical systems, introduces Lionel, an internal AI assistant designed to unlock institutional knowledge across the HPE Nonstop Compute ecosystem. This marks a major milestone in PartnerOne’s applied artificial intelligence strategy.

As enterprises modernize and distribute workloads across hybrid, cloud, and multi‑database environments, one requirement remains constant: data must be accurate everywhere it lives. Whether supporting real‑time banking transactions, analytics pipelines, customer‑facing applications, or regulatory reporting, organizations depend on consistent, trustworthy information across all platforms.

HPE Nonstop has a well-earned industry reputation. It’s known globally as a foundational technology platform for business-critical data processing. From retail transactions to core banking, and ATM networks to payments — if the stakes are high, you want robust and reliable IT infrastructure that operates at close to zero downtime.

Distributed Transactions (XA) with the HPE Nonstop JDBC Type 4 driver allow Java applications on external platforms to participate in transactions that update SQL/MX databases alongside other resources in a single atomic operation. This ensures data consistency across heterogeneous systems, providing reliability and resilience to failure for mission-critical financial and enterprise environments.

Reliable backup and recovery are fundamental requirements for organizations operating mission-critical workloads on the HPE Nonstop platform. These environments frequently support high-value transaction processing systems such as banking networks, payment gateways, stock exchanges, retail POS systems, and telecommunications infrastructure. Because these systems often operate 24×7 with extremely high availability requirements, backup infrastructure must be

Modern AI relies heavily on GPUs (graphical processing units). GPUs are expensive resources that push the boundaries of power consumption and data center capabilities. Mature organizations are constantly looking for ways to optimize GPU utilization. … Enter GPU hardware isolation, a technique that allows GPUs to be partitioned into smaller, isolated units.

For the Nonstop community, the integration of hardware and the software stack has proved every bit as reliable as the Scottish Deerhound. However, the latest addition to the family of dogs doesn’t chase deer but rather, is a cost-effective manner with which to integrate Nonstop into the world of Hybrid IT.

NuWave Technologies acknowledges the significance of ISO 8583 and ISO 20022 in financial messaging standards, with ISO 8583 historically serving card-based transactions and ISO 20022 emerging as a comprehensive framework for various financial activities. The article explores their evolution, features, and applications, emphasizing their importance in modern financial ecosystems.

Mission-critical HPE Nonstop environments require robust security without the burden of complex infrastructure. XYGATE SecurityOne (XS1) version 2.4 introduces a streamlined architecture featuring a self-contained virtual appliance and an integrated data platform. From “minutes-not-weeks” deployment to simplified incremental patching, see how the latest XS1 release helps organizations focus on monitoring and protecting their systems rather than managing the tools.
